Fed: ACT public servants paid 14 weeks maternity leave
Paid maternity leave for ACT public servants has been extended from 12 to 14 weeks.
The government says the extended leave entitlements are back-dated to March 11.
The Northern Territory government set the new Australian 14-week benchmark in October last year.
Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner PRU GOWARD has recommended a national schemeof 14 weeks' paid maternity leave up to the minimum wage of $431.
