VIC: Police name officer shot in driveby

Victorian police have released the name of an officer who is fighting for his life after
being shot in the chest in Melbourne today by a man wanted over two driveby shootings.

Police say the officer is 28-year-old Senior Constable JASON STRIEGHER, of the Epping
Traffic Operations Group.

Senior Constable STRIEGHER was shot when he approached a dark green late model car at
Heidelberg in Melbourne's northern suburbs just after midday (AEDT).
